"WALLACE W. ATWOOD" MEDAL

The prize consists of a medal and a diploma. It is awarded to the author of any geographical work (published during the period between General Assemblies) considered by the Panel of Judges to be of the greatest value and importance.

The said Panel of Judges will be comprised as follows: the Chairman of the Commission on Geography, the editor of the Revista Geográfica, and the National Member of Geography of the National Section where the respective Meeting of Consultation is held).

Works nominated for the prize must be sent to the National Section, thirty days before the date of the Meeting of Consultation on Geography.

The work must have been prepared and printed in one of the Member States of the PAIGH with clear reference to that fact, as well as to the date of its publication. The work must be submitted by the National Section of a Member State of the PAIGH.

The purpose of submitting the work must be made known to the Chairman of the Commission on Geography.

It is important to emphasize that the work nominated may be from any of the PAIGH Member States and not necessarily from the country submitting the nomination.
