The candidates must be nominated by the Chairpersons of the National
Sections of the PAIGH, via a formal note sent to the Secretary General
of the Institute GeneralSecretariat@paigh.org
at least eight months prior to the inauguration of the General Assembly.
The nomination of each candidature must contain a brief biographical
sketch on the candidate, a description of his/her scientific work, and
a list of the papers, studies and research studies or books that have
been published.
The Meeting of the Directing Council prior to the Assembly shall designate
representatives of seven countries as members of the Panel of Judges
(five principals and two alternates).
Countries nominating candidates cannot be members of the Panel of Judges.
In the event that a country on the Panel nominates a candidate, its
member will be replaced by one of the countries previously designated
as an alternate.
The decisions of the judges will be by majority vote of the designated
members.
The decision of the judges will be final and cannot be appealed.
The Secretary General of the Institute shall place at the disposition
of the jury all materials necessary for reaching a decision at tha disposal
of the judges at least seven months prior to the inaugural date of the
respective General Assembly.
The decision of each member of the jury will be made known to the General
Secretariat at least four months prior to the inauguration of the respective
General Assembly.
The result will be made known by the General Secretariat thirty days
later, and at the same time the person being so honored will be invited
to give a plenary lecture during the General Assembly.
