BIBLIOGRAPHIC CITATIONS

- Citations in the text should by preference be in parenthesis (Author,
year), ensuring that they coincide with the bibliography.
- Unless the editor of the journal indicates otherwise, the following
style should be followed:
Author (surname first comma and given name(s), "Name of
article", Title of Journal, vol., no., pp., city, year.
Author (ditto), Title of Book, city, publisher, pp. year
ILLUSTRATIONS
Must be originals (photos, graphics, drawings, maps, etc), each numbered
and with a caption and an explanation of their exact placement in
the text. Illustrations may take the following forms:
- Photos: Must be of high quality. It's suggested that only the most
significant ones be included. Preference is for black and white positives
or negatives.
- Graphs and figures. Hand-drawn figures must be on plain white paper.
For digitized images (generated via programs such as: Excel, Power
Point, PhotoShop, Photo Paint, etc), in order to maintain the best
resolution and processing should be saved as TIFF images (*.tif)
without compressing more than 300pts. Avoid using the JPG format.
To obtain an optimal reproduction of scanned images the following
is recommended:
- Save the image with the highest resolution possible.
- If the image is very small and an enlargement must be made, in
the Tools menus of the scanner select Dimensions; next, if the image
is shown as 100% in scale, increase that to 200% and safe. In the
case of a very large image then 50% should be selected to reduce its
size by half.
- Save all as TIFF (*.tif) without any compression.
Articles should be sent to the corresponding Editorial Committee:
