Visita del Secretario General del IPGH a Corea<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH), made a working visit to the Republic of Korea, an observer country of the PAIGH, in response to an invitation from the Korean government. During this visit, he met with Mr. Hong Seung-in, Deputy Director General of the Office of International Legal Affairs of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Kim Bong-soo, Third Secretary of the Territories and Oceans Division. During these meetings, Mr. Campuzano expressed his gratitude for the invitation, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the two institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This trip reinforced the commitment of this specialized agency and the Republic of Korea to continue collaborating on scientific and technical development in areas such as Cartography, Geography, History, and Geophysics, promoting future joint initiatives for the benefit of the Pan-American community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his visit to the National Geographic Information Institute (NGII), MA. Campuzano had the opportunity to tour the institute’s museum, where he was able to appreciate the geographic and scientific heritage created over the years. This meeting strengthened the ties of cooperation between the two institutions and allowed for recognition of the support provided by the NGII to the Pan-American scientific community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a gesture of appreciation, MA. Campuzano presented a plaque of recognition to Mr. Hong and Mr. Cho WooSug, Director General of the NGII, symbolizing the PAIGH’s gratitude for the academic opportunities offered and its interest in strengthening institutional ties for scientific development and future joint initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of his working tour of the Republic of Korea, Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the PAIGH, participated as a speaker at the 30th<\/sup> International Seminar on the Names of the Seas. The theme of this edition was \u201cSustainable geographical nomenclature for the future: achievements and challenges during the 30 years of the seminar.\u201d During his speech, Mr. Campuzano highlighted the importance of geographical names, pointing out that they transcend the territorial or geographical. He emphasized that these names encapsulate key aspects of a society’s culture and way of life from the perspective of historical science.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Leaders of international organizations based in Mexico: Dr. Salvador Percastre, Director General of the Latin American Institute for Educational Communication (ILCE); Mr. \u00c1lvaro Velarca Hern\u00e1ndez, Secretary General of the Inter-American Conference on Social Security (CISS); Mr. Jaime del R\u00edo Salcedo, Director General of the Regional Cooperation Center for Adult Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (CREFAL), and His Excellency Ambassador Fl\u00e1vio Roberto Bonzanini, Secretary General of the Agency for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean (OPANAL), met virtually to exchange interesting experiences that will serve to enrich their work and plan strategic collaborations in order to project their objectives in the Pan American region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth mentioning that these types of meetings allow for the strengthening of ties of friendship for the benefit of the member countries of these institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training on \u201cDiplomatic Immunity\u201d and \u201cFirst Aid, First Aid Kit for Immediate Assistance, and Development of a Civil Protection Plan\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In compliance with the actions corresponding to Guiding Principle VI of the 2022-2025 Strategic Modernization Plan of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, the staff of the General Secretariat received training on \u201cDiplomatic Immunity\u201d and first aid concepts, immediate assistance first aid kits, and the development of a civil protection plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These types of activities fall under Guiding Principle VI of the Strategic Plan for Modernization of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, which seeks, among other things, to promote knowledge and practice in the workplace, with the participation of all staff. In this way, the General Secretariat of the PAIGH maintains constant compliance with the objectives set by this administration.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Meeting of the Diplomatic Corps and Representatives of International Organizations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the PAIGH, thanked the Foreign Minister and the Mexican Government for the support and hospitality that this international organization has received since establishing its headquarters in Mexico City in 1930.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of the Pan-American community that comprises it, the PAIGH extended its sincere congratulations to Foreign Minister Alicia B\u00e1rcena for her leadership, characterized by a profound diplomatic and humanistic sensibility, and wished her every success in the new tasks she will undertake in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary General of the PAIGH, Antonio Campuzano Rosales, visited the offices of Her Excellency Sonia Cruz de Aspra, Ambassador of the Republic of Honduras to the United Mexican States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that the Republic of Honduras will host the 26th General Assembly of the PAIGH in 2025, which will take place in the city of Tegucigalpa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a fruitful and pleasant conversation, the intention is to strengthen the ties of collaboration between this international organization and the PAIGH Member State of Honduras, so that the scientific community of that nation can learn about and access the scientific and academic offerings of the PAIGH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meetings such as this will result in scientific production through the programs that the PAIGH offers to the Pan-American community, such as scholarships, training, publications, and technical assistance projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation by Mr. Campuzano Rosales was part of the agenda of the 21st National Meeting of Historians of the Second Empire and the Restoration of the Republic. \u201cTwo Mexican Empires: Agust\u00edn de Iturbide and Maximilian of Habsburg. From fascination to disenchantment. Dissertations.\u201d The event was held at the Museum of the Restoration of the Republic.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Visit by the Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Peru in Mexico<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister Counselor of the Peruvian Embassy in Mexico, Yesica Fonseca, was accompanied by her colleagues: Counselor \u00c1lvaro de los R\u00edos and Mr. Manuel Garc\u00eda, administrator of the embassy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary General of this Institute, Antonio Campuzano Rosales, gave them a warm welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this meeting was to showcase the work carried out both within and outside the institution, as well as to provide a tour of the history of the Palace headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary General emphasized the importance of collaborating countries for the growth and constant dissemination of science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister Counselor of Peru considered it extremely important to continue strengthening ties of trust in order to contribute to scientific and diplomatic advances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
