Visit by the Sodi Abogados law firm to the PAIGH headquarters building<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH), welcomed Ms. Jacqueline Sodi Zapfe and her team from the Sodi Abogados law firm to the Palace headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, attendees toured different areas of the Palace, including the Historical Archive, the Gallery of Historians and Geographers of America, and the Wall of Female Authorities. Afterwards, MA. Campuzano presented the nature, mission, vision, and principles of the PAIGH, emphasizing the six guiding principles of the \u201cStrategic Modernization Plan 2022-2025.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sodi Abogados law firm agreed to collaborate with the PAIGH in the legal field, supporting the General Secretariat in various legal matters. As part of the protocol, Ms. Sodi signed the Distinguished Visitors Book, expressing her best wishes for the PAIGH to continue making a significant impact globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendance at Christmas message from Foreign Minister Alicia B\u00e1rcena<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary General of the PAIGH, Antonio Campuzano Rosales, accepted the invitation from Foreign Minister Alicia B\u00e1rcena, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, to attend the Christmas message she delivered to the accredited Diplomatic Corps and the directors of the Secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event, Dr. B\u00e1rcena exchanged greetings with MA. Campuzano, while reiterating her support for the scientific work of the PAIGH and the continuation of joint efforts for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working meeting with Paloma Merodio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH), held a virtual working meeting with Dr. Paloma Merodio G\u00f3mez, Vice President of the Governing Board of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Dr. Merodio expressed UN-GGIM’s interest in strengthening its collaboration with Mexico through the PAIGH, especially in the context of preparations for the UN-GGIM High Level Forum to be held next year in Mexico. She stressed the importance of working in coordination with regional organizations to ensure the success of this event.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Meeting between the Secretary General of the PAIGH and the Mexican Society of Geography and Statistics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, Antonio Campuzano Rosales, had an interesting meeting with Dr. Hugo Castro Arana, President of the Mexican Society of Geography and Statistics (SMGE), in Mexico City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanied by Dr. Mar\u00eda Eugenia del Valle Prieto and Miriam Funes of the SMGE, the pleasant conversation revolved around strengthening ties and consolidating similar objectives between both institutions, which made it possible for a collaboration agreement to be signed in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit by Rolando Ocampo of ECLAC to the PAIGH headquarters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The headquarters of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH) welcomed Rolando Ocampo, Director of the Statistics Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary General of the PAIGH, Antonio Campuzano Rosales, accompanied by his wife, Alma Ver\u00f3nica Ireta Badillo, presented the progress made in the 2022-2025 Strategic Modernization Plan, which focuses on the transformation of the PAIGH. He highlighted the achievements made so far and the challenges still ahead in the context of this institutional reengineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, Mr. Ocampo expressed his appreciation for the results of Mr. Campuzano’s management, noting that he found a renewed PAIGH that complements its work with UN-GGIM: Americas. He congratulated the Institute on its evolution and predicted greater achievements in the years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n
