Work of the Internal Committee of the PAIGH

Meeting of the Internal Committee of the PAIGH for the work of aligning the rules of procedures and the regulations to the Statutes of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History. The work meeting had the participation of MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General; BA. Sergio Martínez Torres, Personal Secretary, and Mr. Norberto García Castelo, responsible for the Technical Assistance Department. The collective work of the staff of the General Secretariat of the PAIGH is within the framework of the policies for action of the PAIGH Strategic Modernization Plan of the current administration.

Visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay
MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales and BA. Sergio Martínez Torres, Secretary General and Personal Secretary of the PAIGH respectively, went to the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay to meet Her Excellency Ambassador Gloria Yrma Amarilla Acosta.
During their visit, they discussed various matters involving the collaboration between the PAIGH and the Member State of Paraguay, with the purpose of disseminating more widely the academic offerings that this scientific organization makes available, through calls for applications to grants and awards, applications for finance of projects, participation in scientific journals and the donation of publications.
With these actions the PAIGH is keeping close to its lines or policies for action in the scientific area of its Strategic Modernization Plan for 2022-2025.

Virtual meeting with the CEPEIGE
MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the PAIGH, accompanied by Mr. Norberto García Castelo, responsible for the Technical Assistance Department, held a virtual meeting with the staff of the Pan American Center for Geographic Studies and Research (CEPEIGE), Ecuador.
MSc. Nelson Ortega (director of the CEPEIGE), with members of his staff: Jonathan Panimboza, Head of Academics; also, Diego Armando Almachi, Humberto Gómez and Maritza Velasteguí, presented the coordination of the work for running the 50th Pan American Course in Applied Geography.
Both organizations established lines of action for the grants available, the parallel courses, also the public dissemination of these.
The PAIGH reaffirms its commitment to fulfilling its Strategic Modernization Plan for 2022-2025 by means of its close collaboration with peer organizations such as the CEPEIGE.


Meeting with staff of the “Sodi” Lawyers Firm
MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the PAIGH, accompanied by BA Sergio Martínez Torres, Personal Secretary, met with staff of the “Sodi” Lawyers Firm for continuing with the work of aligning the internal procedures and rules of the Institute with its statutes. This session is within the framework of the lines of action of the Strategic Modernization Plan of the PAIGH implemented by the current administration.

Visit of Mr. Yong Koo Kang, Councilor for Economic Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Mexico

At the Palace building headquarters of the PAIGH, the satisfying visit of Mr. Yong Koo Kang, official of the diplomatic representation of Korea in Mexico, was received.
In an interesting and pleasant conversation, MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General, stated his satisfaction with the strengthening the links for technical and scientific collaboration between the PAIGH and the Republic of Korea, which has the status of Permanent Observer State in this international organization.
MA. Campuzano stated to Mr. Yong Koo Kang, that, beyond the strategic PAIGH-Korea alliance, there is a close link of friendship between the peoples of the Pa American community and the Korean nation.
Along the same lines, it is intended to continue the academic exchange between the Pan American and Korean scientific communities, by means of training and the dissemination of the Earth Sciences and History, the disciplines that the Pan American Institute of Geography and History is focused on.

Meeting in remote mode for the alignment of the Internal Procedures and Regulations
With the participation of MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the PAIGH, and the Commission Presidents of this Institute; Dr. Filiberto Cruz Sánchez (History), Dr. Hermann Manríquez Tirado (Geography), and MSc. Max Lobo Hernández (Cartography), a virtual meeting was held with the objective of working on the alignment of the Internal Procedures with the Statutes in force of the PAIGH.
Each one of the Commission Presidents, provided comments on the various documents, related to the smooth and efficient operation of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History.
With these work activities, the actions contained in the central guiding concepts of the Strategic Modernization Plan for 2022-2025 are being given follow-up and progress.
