Committee Consultation Meetings

The Commissions hold regular Consultation Meetings every four years, including a joint meeting that brings together the Commissions, prior to the General Assembly at which the election of Officers takes place.

The objectives of the Consultation Meetings of the Commissions are:

  • Electing the authorities of the commissions;
  • Reassessing the structure of the commissions;
  • Evaluating the activities carried out during the four-year period ending;
  • Establishing the scientific policy and work plan for the following four-year period.
  • The recommendations of the consultation meetings of the commissions are submitted to the General Assembly for consideration.
