On October 24, the 98th Meeting of Authorities of the PAIGH was held, addressing the resolutions and issues to be resolved during the 23rd General Assembly of this specialized organism of the Organization of American States (OAS).
The meeting was opened by the President, Patricia Solís PhD, and the Secretary General, Antonio Campuzano, with the attendance of the Presidents of the Cartography, Geography, and Geophysics Commissions, as well as the Vice President of the Institute.
The start of the working day was attended by Colonel Pablo Aníbal Acosta, President of the National Section of the PAIGH in Ecuador and Director of the Military Geographic Institute of Ecuador, who expressed his gratitude to this governing body and coordinator of the PAIGH’s activities:
“I am sure that your deliberations on the resolutions that will be defined throughout this day for consideration by the participating countries starting tomorrow, when the 23rd General Assembly begins, will allow us to achieve the objectives set for the benefit of all the countries that make up this great international organization.
