Commemoration of the 67th Anniversary of ILCE at the Telegraph Museum

The Telegraph Museum in Mexico City was the venue for the Official Reception commemorating the signing of the ILCE Treaty, as part of the 67th anniversary of the creation of this institution. Antonio Campuzano Rosales accompanied Dr Salvador Percastre Mendizabal, Director General of the ILCE, at the moving ceremony.
During the event, led by Mr. Jaime Río Salcedo, President of the National Section of the PAIGH in Mexico, sincere congratulations were expressed to the ILCE by the diplomatic corps present for its outstanding work and innovative actions in educational programmes for the region.

Inauguration of the ‘Guatemala Weekend at Los Pinos’

This special event was held as part of the commemoration of the 175th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Guatemala and Mexico. Virtual meeting with UN-GGIM: Americas


Antonio Campuzano Rosales held a virtual meeting with the President of UN-GGIM: Americas, Geographer Sofía Nilo, and the Executive Secretary, Geographer Pamela Castillo. The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate the dates for the 11th Session of UN-GGIM: Americas and the 25th General Assembly of the PAIGH, which will be held in the second half of 2024, with the aim of finding opportunities for support and growth between both international institutions.

Virtual coordination session between the PAIGH and the Latin American Academy of Military History
Virtual session with Colonel Enrique Gargurevich, President of the Latin American Academy of Military History. The objective of the meeting was to begin coordination efforts to establish a joint collaboration agreement..

The planning of a series of conferences was mentioned, aimed at promoting the exchange of historical knowledge and enriching the experience of all participants.

Visit by the Secretary General of the PAIGH to the Mexican Ambassador to the OAS
The meeting between Ambassador Luz Elena Baños, Permanent Representative of Mexico to the Organisation of American States, and Mr. Antonio Campuzano, Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, represents an important milestone in the framework of the PAIGH Strategic Modernisation Plan 2022-2025, one of whose guiding principles is to strengthen the Institute’s relations with relevant international organisations, such as the Organisation of American States (OAS).

53rd General Assembly of the Organisation of American States (OAS)

Within the framework of the 53rd General Assembly of the OAS, the Secretary General of the PAIGH, Mr. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, fulfilled a productive work agenda in Washington D.C., where important achievements were made, such as:
- Meeting with the President of the PAIGH, Dr. Patricia Solís.
- Interview with Ambassador Luz Elena Baños, Representative of Mexico to the OAS.
- Visit to the Columbus Library of the OAS, and consultation of the Minutes of the VI International American Conference of 1928, held in Havana, Cuba.
- Meeting with Dr. Erick Langer.
- Meeting with Brigadier General Porfirio Fuentes Vélez.
- Meeting with the President of the National Section of the PAIGH in the United States of America, Dr. Deirdre Bishop.

Meeting of the Advisory Committee on Planning and Financial Evaluation of the PAIGH

The PAIGH’s Advisory Committee on Financial Planning and Evaluation (APEF) met virtually to conduct a comprehensive internal audit. The Committee is composed of Dr Patricia Solís, President of the PAIGH; Agrim. Sergio Cimbaro, Director of the National Geographic Institute of Argentina; and Col. Juan Croquis, Director of the Military Geographic Institute. The working group also included the Secretary General, staff and financial advisors of this international organisation.

Meeting on institutional synergies of the PAIGH
The Secretary General of the PAIGH, together with the financial administration staff of this organization, met with the banking representatives from the international organizations that serve this institution, Ms. Hayde Arriaga and Ms. Alejandra Cruz. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss institutional synergies to improve banking procedures in accordance with the needs of the PAIGH.
