On the occasion of the renewal of the Chair of Liaison between the Pan American Institute of Geography and History and Anahuac University, the academic-institutional collaboration document was signed at the university’s facilities in Huixquilucan, State of Mexico.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Francesca Munda Magill, Director of the Faculty of Education, and Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the PAIGH, with the aim of continuing collaboration, exchange, and mutual support for national and international benefit.


The Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH) received a visit from Mr. Rodrigo Fernández Chedraui, Director of Las Ánimas Publishing House, who was welcomed by MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the PAIGH, and his distinguished wife, Mrs. Alma Verónica Ireta Badillo.

During his visit, Mr. Fernández Chedraui toured the historic facilities of the PAIGH Palace, appreciating the architectural and cultural richness of the place. At the reception, MA. Campuzano gave a detailed presentation on the Institute’s activities, highlighting its historical and scientific relevance in the Pan American sphere.


The Diplomatic Corps attended the reception organized by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) to welcome the new Foreign Minister, Dr. Juan Ramón de la Fuente. Representing the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH), MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General, congratulated Dr. De la Fuente and wished him success in his new role.

Among the topics discussed, training in ArcGIS Online, a geospatial platform for professional and organizational use, and initiatives related to Story Maps stood out.


The Palace headquarters of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH) welcomed secondary school students from the Miguel Hidalgo School in Mexico City. This visit was part of a simulation of the United Nations General Assembly, in which the presidium was composed of Director José Luis Galindo Miranda, Professor Jazmín E. Omaña Trejo, and representatives of the PAIGH: Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General, and Sergio Martínez Torres, Private Secretary, as well as two students acting as UN officials.

During this activity, Mr. Campuzano held a formal reception similar to that offered to official visitors to this headquarters. The school delegation toured the garden and interior courtyards, visiting the different areas of the PAIGH.


The work Documentos Históricos Constitucionales del Estado de México (Historical Constitutional Documents of the State of Mexico) was presented at the Palace of Justice of the State of Mexico. It was led by Judge Ricardo Alfredo Sodi Cuéllar, co-authored by Antonio Campuzano Rosales, and Oscar F. Castañeda Bastida. This event was attended by prominent jurists and historians, such as Manuel González Oropeza, former governor and academic César Camacho Quiroz, and Rafael Estrada Michel, General Coordinator of Access to Justice for the State of Mexico Judicial Branch.

This work, developed as part of the commemorative events for the Bicentennial of the State of Mexico, is the result of years of research focused on the compilation and analysis of historical documents from legislative, executive, and judicial archives. The compilation and organization of these documents offer a detailed perspective on the legal and constitutional evolution of the State of Mexico throughout its history.

The Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH), Antonio Campuzano Rosales, held a conversation with Dr. Pierre Beaucage, professor emeritus at the University of Montreal. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the organization of a publication dedicated to the topic of herbal medicine and shamanism among the Maseual, an indigenous Nahua community. This publication will be co-published with the University of the Americas, in the state of Puebla, Mexico.


The 11th Session of the United Nations Regional Committee on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM: Americas) was held at the facilities of the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI) in Mexico City.

In his participation in the event, MA. Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in the Americas and reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to continue supporting UN-GGIM: Americas, which is consolidating its efforts to manage geospatial information efficiently.

In addition, Dr. Solís (President of PAIGH) reaffirmed PAIGH’s commitment to geospatial information management in the region, along with its support for the sustainability of UN-GGIM: Americas.

As part of the program of activities, the Palace, headquarters of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, was decked out to welcome participants to the 11th Session of the United Nations Regional Committee on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM: Americas). This event marks a milestone in the history of the institution, as it is the first time that it has brought together representatives from 28 countries and the presidents of the Regional Committees of Asia-Pacific, Arab States, Europe, and Africa.

In compliance with Guiding Principle III of the IPGH Strategic Modernization Plan 2022-2025, the General Secretariat is constantly working on strategies to maintain sound finances. To this end, a virtual working meeting of the Advisory Committee on Financial Planning and Evaluation (APEF) was held.

This Committee, which is particularly important for the smooth economic functioning of the PAIGH, is composed of: Dr. Patricia Solis, President of the PAIGH; CR (R) Jorge Machuca and Col. Andrés Moraes, presidents of the National Sections of Argentina and Uruguay, respectively. The working group was also joined by Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General, and the PAIGH Finance and Human Resources team, as well as external representatives from the accounting firms Cortés and Vieyra y Asociados.
